11 years ago this time, Brod & I were strolling around the Pavilion in Westville holding hands and doing last minute shopping for the following day...our Wedding Day. So many memories, so many wonderful people there to share it all with us.
Brod's brother and family breaking down on the toll road, the morning of the wedding. Posing outside Amanda's house with my bridesmaids, next to the LOCKED bridal car waiting for a sign of my dad who had the key in his pocket. Brod waiting in the chapel for me, suddenly remembering he had to brush his teeth - rushing off to Guy's (his best man's)dismay. Keith (Brod's other intended groomsman) ...sleeping at Splashy after a crazy night - and not making it to the wedding. My dad hurridly signing his consent to my marriage (I was under 21) in the church parking lot with Colin Bricknell...me crying as I walked down the isle OVERWHELMED by all the people who had come to support us & then catching sight of my Brod waiting for me. Walking out the chapel into a shower of rose petals - and having a delighted guest whack me in the eye with a pretty petal...rushing to the loo to fix it & check my mascara, then returning to re-do the grand entrance & most of the guests had pushed off to the cake table. Lots of hugs and kisses and laughter. Lots of special people - most especially, my Brod. Simple & special.
Patient, funny, daring, different, wonderful Brod. And then being sealed for time & all eternity to eachother - on the 4 May. Cementing it all. I am amazed at the goodness of God, and how he has blessed our marriage so abundantly.
