Fun with Friends

We went on a Ward Temple trip (check out all 7 of us...erhem) - Rob & Cindy kindly shoved us in their huge car and sped off on a 5 hour trip to Johannesburg for a Spiritual retreat.  May I also just state here that we all really enjoyed ourselves & had so much fun.  Lots of laughter & eating - yum yum & also some serious stuff thrown in for good measure.  I LOVE going to the Temple with Brod, it's my number one travel destination with him by my side.
Awesome seeing the flag everywhere - travelling during the World Cup is lots of fun!

The Smosh Blog

I have a friend who asked me to upload some pics of what I make onto the web for her to see...so this morning bright & early(another fresh 2am start to the day!) I began The Smosh Art Blog.  I'm pretty excited to report that it has already received tons of hits on its first day - all by me!  Have a look and let me know what you think.

This past week ...

  • Phoebe has been scrap booking, baking, doing her school work schedule, and playing happily.  And has been loving all the buzz from the World Cup.  She is loving the morning sleep in time & gets out of bed as late as possible.
  • Sophie learned to climb a tree, watch lots of TV, worked on school time & has been trying her hardest to stay up late - but keeps knocking off at 8pm! So funny!
  • Noah began his lesson on climbing trees, has been playing lots of Play Station, causing lots of fisty cuffs with Jo(and laughing through it all - my little monkey), visited with his awesome cousins & played lots of PS games with them too!  He wakes up every morning and asks if there's school.
  • Jonah has been fully booked with play dates with his mates from school (and has another one today!).  Have you noticed that all 4 kids are wearing PJ's? It's a struggle to get them to change each day - they're enjoying their break!
  • Brod has been climbing trees, playing frisbee with the kids, working, taking all 4 kids on a movie date(without mom - so I could paint), working, working, working(well, trying to - but it's school holidays here so he's interrupted A LOT), watching the World Cup, surfing & working some more.
  • A view of the house from the mulberry tree(compliments of Brod)
  • I've been...working(surprise!), doing school time with the kids, reading, really enjoying the holidays (it means holiday schedule & NOT school time schedule - hooray!), making stuff, and drawing stuff, and painting...stuff.  I've been called as the Valiant Teacher in Primary...8 - 11 year olds (and there are 12 of them).  And have enjoyed meeting new people & enjoying new experiences.

Phoebe...I thank Heavenly Father that he made you, distinct, special and unique...you were not made from a common mold

Phoebe turned 9 on Friday, the 4th June.  What a great day!  I love the photo just above this of her sitting in the restaurant eating a seafood platter with Brod on her Birthday Eve (date night with dad).  The other pics are of her party, with her friends & swinging on Uncle Keiths awesome swing on Sunday afternoon.

I love this little girl.  She's a mini-me.
