3 for the price of 1

3 weeks ago I climbed in my car, turned the radio on and Ben Harper's laid back, chilled voice crooned away.   As I enjoyed the tunes, I found half a gift box lying forgotten on the floor and pieced all the clues together. Brod had bought it for me, but decided on his way home from the store that he'd give it a quick listen & make sure it was suitable.
He changed his mind.  And decided to take it back & exchange it for another Ben Harper CD.  This time, it was handed to me in Woolies, by the fridge section (he'd quickly gone to exchange it).  It was back in the gift box - and had a note attached;with an awesome message that made me all goofy and got me feeling rather romantic.  Ben Harper's songs are featured on all the surfing DVD's that I buy Brod - it brings a good feeling into the house...that and Jack Johnson. So we pop it into the radio when we climb in the car, and take a slow drive listening to our feel good music.
Clearly Brod didn't feel too good about the music, as he has since returned that CD and handed me a movie 2 days ago instead.  Letters to Juliet.  He got me a treadmill last week - to whip my butt into shape - and reckons I'd enjoy walking more while watching my chick flicks.  So how's that?  3 presents in 3 weeks - and they only cost 1 price.  Clever boy.  He's thrilled me 3 times over.

A happy Miss Sophs.  Awesome morning.

So, friday, a week ago - we were sitting in the lounge discussing our weekend plans and Michaela, my lovely niece pipes up that she wants to see the sea before she leaves for the US of A.  Sorted.  Brod took the 3 girls down the very next morning and they had a fantastic time.  They all came back very red(we only found the sunscreen when they had already come home!!!), very tired, but totally stoked!

We love and miss you Miss Micks:)

Temple Trip with the Nells & Picolo's

In our private 'jet' - the Picolo mobile

Mike's Kitchen - the usual Temple Trip dinner spot

Melissa and her elfish Prince, Brod the Magnificient

My special sister & I, at the end of a VERY long day.

The Nells, last JHB temple visit for a 'while'.
2 weeks back, Rob and Cindy Picolo, good friends of ours - invited us to join them on a trip to the Johannesburg Temple.  A trip with the Picolo's is always a treat.  Good company, great discussion and good food.  It was also an opportunity to hang out with the Nells, who had been invited too - as it was their last trip up there.  They left for the US yesterday.  A bitter/sweet trip I suppose.  Very special, and some lovely moments in the Temple - it was wonderful to "remember" it all again.

Thanks to a special Granny who looked after the Nell 3, and my wonderful brother Hiram, and his special wife Amanda - who watched the very busy Von Brughan babies.

Josh Update

My nephew Josh, the LDS Missionary in the UK - is awake.  His good parents, Llewellyn and Annette Von Brughan are leaving SA today and flying across Africa to meet up with him in the hospital and will finally be able to meet all the good members of the ward he's been serving in, who have visited him daily and watched over him.  Very exciting.
