Brod is 36

Yesterday was Brod's Birthday.  He woke up to 4 little cherubs singing his praises - they all had to come up with 36 things they liked about him...but couldn't get passed 6.  And that was including Noah's 2 compliments that had the same meaning just said in a different way. "I like the food you make".

To say it was an INSANE day would be an understatement. In the car & away from Brod all day sucked.  But there were highlights:
1. Phoebe & I had breakfast together - she had an assessment so was off school for the morning - at Roses in Kloof.  She visited the loo 3 times just for the novelty really of going on her own without me(we sat next to the loo entrance -Hello paranoid mom).  And can I just add how much I love going to Roses?  Where else in this area can two people have a full breakfast & tea for under R 50.00???
2. I got to visit with a friend who has recently had a hip replacement - and whom I adore - Margaret.  And we had a nice chat down memory lane.
3. I got to realise how much I adore Brod, and am so used to being around him all the time - since we work from home.

We took the kids out for dinner in the evening - I threatened them with "No Playstation, TV or treats" if they caused any chaos at the restaurant (not a kiddie friendly restaurant you see) just before Brod got in the car...and it WORKED!~ Hooray!  It was a great night out.

Ansteys

Yesterday, I bunked work - and took my boss with me.  We went to Ansteys Beach in the Bluff...and walked and walked.  It was great. Then we looked at the time - and had to run all the way back to the car to get home & fetch kids from school.  There is always something that we have to run to.  But the walk was great.  Like a walk down memory lane.  It had been years since we'd been there just the two of us. I love romantic moments.

Tathum Art Gallery

Today was a D R E A M.
I found the Tathum Art Gallery & fell in love with colour & history & the ability to create all over again.
It was wonderful.
And I got to share it all with my mom, Amanda, Tracey & Michaela & my sweet little Phoebe(who was absolutley enthralled).
Can I also just state here how AWESOME good old PMB is - with all its sights & sounds.  I love that place.  I love the history there.
I really am so easy to please.

Motherhood: An Eternal Partnership with God

Motherhood: An Eternal Partnership with God

Have a look at the video on Motherhood.
I love the scene with the mom and her toddler by the toilet. It reminded me of the time I walked up the stairs and discovered a snowy layer of toilet paper ALL over the landing and bathroom floor . Sigh. Oh, and the soup ladel being used to fish in the toilet bowl...and and and...
