Finding Joy in Life

There are plenty things that I think about. Often. A lot has to do with the pursuit of things that bring me happiness.  And mostly it's to do with my actions, doing things that make me happy. My happiness is not in things, it's in Brod, and the kids, and in me. So I sit and think. I clean, and I think. I read, and I think. I walk, and I think. Think, think, think. Then I try and do.  You'll see a link to the side of this post, that connects to my Smosh Art.  I started it all because it makes me happy to create. And being happy, means I am a nicer person and feel more fulfilled.

Brod gave a talk in church this morning on Finding Joy in Life - and largely used the words from Richard G. Scott's talk.  The words were so familiar - and rung true for me...they were so inline with the words from my Patriarchal Blessing it was uncanny.

I am thankful for a thankful heart, that sees my blessings and is grateful for them.  And when the bad days come, when it feels hard just to move through the day - and can I pause here to say that 'It's ok, not be ok' all the time - that good moments come and fill me up and all the world seems brighter. I do know that Heavenly Father knows me, and is aware of me. I feel my life has purpose and potential, as do we all in this world-and when I do what I'm supposed to, and read, and meditate like I need to - I open myself up to His will far more.
